This visual art portrays artist Krisen Tetzlaff and her sister painted with acrylic on a 30.4cm x 40.6 cm panel. This piece has been created in a series that explores the life-sustaining and necessity of water juxtaposed with the reality that it can destroy life (drowning/unclean). Kristen connects that with the idea of family (sisterhood/motherhood) and how loved ones are almost as necessary for survival as water.

About the Artist

Kristen hopes to accompany others in the wonder of poetry. She writes and paints on themes such as honoring the mundane, the exploration of grief, and questioning death's mystery without expecting an answer.
